I just received this book a few days ago and from the very first page it made me laugh. This is a fun and enjoyable book about barroom stories from a bartender’s perspective and is a very easy read. I have enjoyed reading it chapter by chapter but also flipping through it at night to parts that catch my attention like "Sex and Fights" and enjoyed a funny short story to be a last thought before bed. This book does not take itself too seriously and is written entirely to be entertaining. I feel this is an excellent purchase for relaxing on vacation, an easy lunch time read on the job, or simply having on the nightstand to wind down. I am transported to happy hour each time I pick it up and have already found several stories that I can personally relate to from my own experiences. Great job and cheers to the author; you will not regret purchasing this book.Product details

Awesome entertaining read!!
A thoroughly entertaining look at modern American bar culture, its connections to the past and human nature in general. An engaging read that pulls you in immediately taking readers on a safari filled with wit wisdom and practical advice.
Read the book over the weekend, it was an enjoyable easy read. The author is very witty and a good story teller. I could easily relate to a lot of the regular customers, definitely some laughs. I will have a bit of an edge the next time I go to a drinking establishment. I would certainly encourage people to read it.

This is perfect for anyone who has worked in the bar/restaurant industry or who has sat next to or been on of his study subject in his booze laden anthropologic journey. Jay's writing style paints an honest and insightful picture of the human gathering at the "Watering hole." Awesome...and I'm just glad he left me out of it, well, sort of!
Good read(or Reid) by first time author. The book is full of short essays turned chapters, leveled out with personal stories and lively characters. The choice in a joint narration by a Steve Irwin essays character and the author's own voice creates a blend that is very fitting in this nature/social documentary. I am looking forward to watching for more from this author.
